Kamaljit
Khatker (Kam)
B.A. (Hons) B.Ost
Kam is a registered General
Osteopathic Council (GOsC) practitioner
who graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 2003.
Since then Kam has spent time working in Birmingham
where she treated a variety of patients including the Birchfield
Harriers (Athletic
club) and actors and actresses from the Birmingham repertory theatre.
Kam joined the Avenue osteopathic Clinic in 2004
and provided a much needed female presence! Kam believes that it
is
important
for patients to have a good understanding of their condition as
well as the subsequent management as this gives each patient more
control over their condition.
Although not a fitness freak Kam believes in the
saying “practice
what you preach” and does enjoy a fairly healthy lifestyle,
something which she encourages in her patients. As patients can
often find, treatment is a springboard to improving their health
on a wider level and Kam feels it is important to provide her patients
with the guidance to help maintain the changes achieved through
the treatment.
